Refund Policy

1. No Refunds

All payments, deposits, booking fees, minimums, event charges, add-ons, travel fees, administrative fees, and other amounts paid to Hibachi2U LLC are non-refundable unless Hibachi2U expressly agrees otherwise in writing or a refund is required by applicable law.

Because our chefs, food, scheduling, preparation, routing, and event resources are reserved in advance, payments are used to secure your event date and service availability. Once a booking is made, Hibachi2U may turn away other customers for that time slot, purchase food, schedule staff, and commit operational resources.

2. Rain or Shine Service

Hibachi2U provides service rain or shine. Weather conditions, including rain, cold, heat, wind, or other ordinary outdoor conditions, do not entitle the customer to a refund, credit, chargeback, or cancellation without applicable fees.

Hibachi2U will make reasonable efforts to show up and provide the booked service. The customer is responsible for providing a safe, dry, outdoor cooking area for the chef and equipment. This may include a tent, patio, awning, covered area, or other suitable protection from rain or unsafe exposure.

3. Outdoor Cooking Requirement

Hibachi2U cooks outside only. We do not cook inside homes or indoor premises. Customers may set up guests indoors if they choose, but the chef, grill, and cooking station must remain outdoors in an area that is safe, accessible, level, and suitable for cooking.

4. Customer Responsibility for Weather Preparation

Customers are expected to monitor weather conditions and prepare the event space in advance. If there is any chance of rain or other weather that could affect the cooking station, the customer must provide appropriate cover before the chef arrives.

Failure to provide a safe and dry cooking area may prevent service from being performed as scheduled and will not create a right to a refund. Hibachi2U may, in its discretion, offer a reschedule option subject to availability and any applicable fees, but is not obligated to do so.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations and reschedule requests must be made as early as possible. Hibachi2U may charge cancellation, rescheduling, administrative, travel, food, staffing, or other fees, including a $200.00 fee where applicable, for cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the event.

A request to reschedule is not confirmed until Hibachi2U approves it in writing or through its official booking channel. Rescheduling is subject to chef availability, service area, booking demand, and operational feasibility.

6. Guest Count, Minimums, and Add-Ons

Event minimums, guest counts, upgraded proteins, add-ons, travel charges, administrative fees, and similar charges are subject to the pricing and booking terms provided at or before the time of booking. Reductions in guest count, menu changes, or customer-requested changes after booking may not reduce the total amount due.

7. Late Arrivals, Access Issues, and Unsafe Conditions

The customer is responsible for providing timely access to the event location and ensuring the chef can safely set up and cook. If the event is delayed, access is unavailable, the location is unsafe, the setup is not ready, or the customer fails to provide required items or conditions, Hibachi2U may shorten, modify, cancel, or reschedule the service without issuing a refund.

8. Customer-Provided Items

Customers are responsible for providing tables, chairs, plates, utensils, and other required guest setup items unless Hibachi2U expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Hibachi2U is not responsible for refunds, credits, or service issues caused by missing or inadequate customer-provided items.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

By booking with Hibachi2U, you agree that the no-refund and rain-or-shine terms are a material part of the service. You agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for amounts that are non-refundable under this policy. Hibachi2U reserves the right to provide this Refund Policy, booking records, communications, and service documentation to the payment processor or card network in response to any dispute.

10. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. If a refund is required by law, Hibachi2U will comply with applicable legal requirements.
